Painting as a Practice of Listening

"I don't decide what to paint — I wait until it becomes clear."

My work emerges from a contemplative process that begins long before the brush touches the canvas. Each piece is an act of translation — converting something felt or sensed into pigment, texture, and light.

Working in oils allows me to build layers of meaning over time, returning to a surface again and again until it holds what it needs to hold. The paintings are made in a small studio in Montréal, often in the early hours before the world has fully woken.

Exhibitions have been held across Canada and in select galleries internationally. Commissions are welcome.
